Help! Natural teething remedies??

C has been really fussy the last few days right before his naps and I think it's because his gums are driving him crazy. No teeth yet. He chews on anything he can get in his mouth although he seems to like the frozen gel teethers the best. Any of you moms know of some natural remedies? I really don't want to give him painkillers. He eventually falls asleep, but it's been with lots of crying which is unlike him.

  1. Amber teething necklace and/or natural/homeopathic teething tablets (we found some at Walmart).

  2. try (Catholic who is a friend of one of my friends). she sells amber necklaces (which Isaiah wears 24/7).

Also we use teething tabs Hylands. you can get them pretty much anywhere...CVS, Wal-Mart, Target or even amazon.

  3. Yup, Hylands teething tablets worked for both of my girls as well!

  4. Exactly what I would've said. Both of my kids wear amber necklaces 24/7 and we go through lots of teething tablets around here!

  5. Chamomile, whether as a tea or a tincture. I personally use a tincture. It's amazing. The tinctures are usually made with alcohol, but it's a miniscule amount (less than 1/50th of a glass of wine) and perfectly safe to give to baby.

  6. I do amber teething necklaces for both babies. Ehhhh...I think they work for some babies and not for others. I still keep it on B but I just do not know. I have also tried the teething tablets....Ehhhh is all I have to say.

The only thing that would calm my screaming Hannah was 1/2 motrin and 1/2 tylenol. Bridgette isn't there just yet but it's coming.

I cracked and used pain relief.....

From what I have noticed tylenol only seems to take the edge off the gnawing of the gums.....I'm still up in the air about the natural remedies. :)

    1. i drug my kids too!!
in addition to the natural meds (or placebos, as Andrew calls them)

  7. I have no idea, but please post what ended up working for you! GL!
